Chelsea Howell Garcia Born and Raised In the Rio Grande Valley, began her work with the Republican Party In 2016 as she worked in a campaign with then Candidate for McAllen Mayor Othal Brand Jr, she then joined the Young Republican Organization and served her first year on the Hidalgo County Young Republican Board as Public Relations Director, her second year she then Served as their Outreach Director. During her service with the Young Republicans she grew the club to 600 plus members and gave back to her community when they were hit with torrential rains and lead a Donation Drive to help her community. She is determined and eager to see the conservative movement flourish in the Rio Grande Valley. Chelsea comes from a hard working family and was instilled since a young age to never expect anything for free, and to always serve when needed. Her grandparents on her maternal side worked to become citizens of the United States by working in the labor fields and her paternal grandfather served in World War 2 as an Army Tech 5. She also was instilled to keep reaching higher as her mother was the first of the family to graduate from The University of Texas Pan American, and her father who also served in The Navy. Chelsea is also a advocate for those with special needs as she is a mother to a an amazing Autistic young boy.
